We are very excited to welcome you on 17 October in Halle and share with you our AFM experience and challenges!

About ZIK SiLi-nano®

The Centre for Innovation Competence SiLi-nano® is a research center dedicated to uncovering the interplay of silicon-photonics and photovoltaics. As partners, three institutes from Halle in Germany are involved: The Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg, the Fraunhofer Institute for the Mechanics of Materials, the Fraunhofer Center for Silicon Photovoltaics, and the Max Planck Institute of Microstructure Physics. Together, these institutes tackle joint research activities on applications for silicon in combination with light. One of their aims is to increase the efficiency of solar cells by employing specially designed coatings. Another area of interest is silicon based micro light sources which could enhance data transfer in microelectronics.
